On May 16, residents of
the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District approved the
district's $23,570,017 budget proposal for the 2006-07 school
year. The proposal represents a 5.88% increase
over last year's budget and an estimated tax levy
increase of 5.34 percent.
Residents also elected Carole
DeBonte, Joan Kark Wren and Rodney G. Simonds to the Board of
Education; approved a resolution to re-organize the Board of
Education, changing the number of board members from nine to
seven; and approved a proposition allocating $12,000 to the
Frothingham Free Library in Fonda and $3,800 to the Fort Hunter
Free Library.
