Instructions End of the Year Information, Finals and State
Exams 2008
Exam schedules
Exam schedules are available in the high
school office. If you have any questions, check with your
teacher or check with your guidance counselor.
Career & Tech students
Any students who are need to go to the
Career and Tech Center over the exam period and need
bussing, should sign up with Mrs. Fonda by June 12. Sign ups
will be taken from June 16 through June 24.
Candleholders at
graduation
All students who have committed to be candle
holders at graduation must attend a practice on Friday, June
27 at 10:45 a.m. If you are unable to attend this practice,
please see Mrs. Petterson in the high school office.
Locker cleanout
Students will be cleaning out lockers on
Friday, June 13 during lunch/study halls. You must remove
all materials/papers/textbooks, and personal items. Any
materials left in the lockers will be destroyed, so please
make sure to take everything out of your locker!
Last day of regularly
scheduled classes
Last of regularly scheduled classes is
Friday, June 13th. Lockers will be cleaned out during the
lunch periods on this day.
School exams/state
exams
Begin Monday, June 16. Class room teachers
will instruct you as to the time of your exam. Please report
ten minutes prior to the exam start time
Exam schedules on
the counter in the high school office.
Students in grades 9-12 should not report to
school unless you have an exam. (June 16 through June 25)
Lockers should be cleaned of all personal
items, including all textbooks by June 13th.
Absolutely NO back packs will be allowed in school during
exams! You will have to leave your back pack in the high
school entrance if you bring one.
Regents exams
Regents Exams - Tuesday, June 17 to
Wednesday, June 25.
You need only come to school if you are
scheduled for an exam.
Reporting time is 8:05a.m. for morning exams
and 11:20 a.m. for afternoon exams.
While in School You must be in an
examination area or in the study hall in the media center.
No one is permitted to wander the halls during examinations.
Plan arrival times and departure times around the exam
schedule.
If you have pre-planned to work with a
teacher during the exam period, you must register at the
hall monitor table in the high school entrance and get a
pass. You will only be able to enter for this purpose if
your teacher has sent a listing to the monitors table with
your name on it.
NO BACK PACKS, knap sacks, pocketbooks, etc
are allowed in school during the exam period. All items will
be checked at the high school entrance with the monitors.
Items must be picked as soon as you exit the building
following your exam. All items left after 3 p.m. will be
locked in the high school office over night and may be
claimed the next school day.
Midday Bus - A bus will run at 12:05 for
those students who wish to go home after morning
examinations. Students wishing to take the bus should sign
up at the monitor table by the high school office by 10:00
a.m. (June 16-June 25)
Leaving examinations
A. Local Exams You must remain the entire
period. No Exceptions!!
B. Regents Exams You must remain until
10:15 a.m. for a morning exam and 2 p.m. for an afternoon
exam. No Exceptions!
If you are not scheduled for an exam on June
16 (local exams) you should have taken your final during
class time. Regular classes must be attended until the last
day of classes on Friday, June 13.
Return of textbooks
Hand in your textbooks the morning or
afternoon of your exam. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR
LOCKER AFTER JUNE 13.
Taking two subject exams
on any half day
Six hours are allowed for taking two exams
in a half day. If you take more than one morning examination
and one or more in the afternoon, you must hand in the last
morning paper by 2:30 p.m. (REGENTS ONLY) Check with your
teachers to make arrangements.
Test and course grades
Teachers will not be giving out grades for
final exams, state exams, or for courses to students. If you
have failed a course or exam that will be offered during the
summer or for which you will need to take an alternative
test, etc. you will be notified by the guidance office,
otherwise, neither teachers nor the guidance office will be
giving out exam grades or course grades during the exam
period.
Report Cards may be picked up on Tuesday,
July 1 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. AFTER THAT REPORT CARDS WILL
BE MAILED HOME.
Remember: Teachers will not be giving out
any exam results or grades during the exam period.
